The QA Ring features an arrangement of international consultants and project mentors cooperating individual projects. This is to create an module that not only looking for the best result of each project but emphasizes more on the openness, dialogues, exchanges during the whole process.

QA Ring invites the following international figures to be the consultants of the overall project: Martin Honzik, director of Ars Electronica's Festival, Prix and Exhibitions divisions. Mikael Fock, CEO and Artistic Director of the Culture Yard / Elsinore / Denmark, Producer of the annual new media and contemporary art - CLICK Festival.

Mr. Hsieh, Taiwanese, graduated with MFA in Dance Choreography from Taipei National University of the Arts in 2007. With BA degree in Architecture from National Cheng-Kung University, presented him a special way in his creative works. Jeff’s choreography credits include Seventh Sense (2011), Anarchy’s Dream (2009), Anarchy 1980 (2008), Anarchy (2008), Gray Mass (2006), Falling Kiss (2006), and more. His works, Anarchy’s Dream and Anarchy 1980, was commissioned by National Culture and Arts Foundation of Taiwan; and the Falling Kiss placed him as one of the most outstanding choreographers in the 2008 National Creative Dance Competition sponsored by the Council for Cultural Affairs, Taiwan. In 2006, his work, Gray Mass was awarded in S-AN Artistic Creation Award, Taiwan. Chieh-Hua Jeff’s work filled with clear structure, meaningful inspiration and creative way of playing with time, space and energy. He is one of five choreographers for 2009 World Games held in Taiwan. His piece has been performed in USA, India, Holland, China, Australia, Singapore and Taiwan as well.

Kevin Cunningham is an award-winning New York based artist and entrepreneur. He is the founder and Executive Artistic Director of 3-Legged Dog Media and Theater Group and 3LD Art & Technology Center, 3-Legged Dog’s multi-venue high tech development studio in Lower Manhattan. He is known for artistic and technological innovation as well as business innovation in the not for profit arts. His artistic focus over the last 30 years has been on the creation of large-scale interdisciplinary artwork of all kinds and on the creation of artists’ tools that enable intuitive manipulation of time-based and sensory elements. Awards and honors include two Rockefeller Foundation Residencies in Bellagio Italy, Edward F. Albee Foundation Residency, selection for the Venice Biennale 2004 and 2008 for interactive media design, 2007 American Theater Wing Hewes Design Award and a Hewes Nomination in 2008. Two of his works have been selected for the prestigious Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design 2011 and Official Selection for the 2013 Sundance, American Film Institute, New York and Hamptons Film Festivals as well as CPH:DOX.

Chen, Qiang-bin is currently a professor at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where he is the dean of the Music Engineering Department .He is the founder and artistic director of Shanghai International Electronic Music Week.Chen is also the Chinese government’s top composition’s award winner .He was invited to serve as a jury of the International Compendium – Prix Ars Electronica 2008 in Linz, Austria. His major works include Hxak (2002) for two violins, two violas and two cellos. Recital for Qiuzi (1995, Wergo Germany) for viola and piano. Line 9(2011) ,for dancer, harp, interactive electronic music and video. He designed and directed several concerts and the major one is “Feeling and Moving-New Vision E-concert” (2007).

Carl Emil Carlsen is an independent artist, designer and teacher working with computational audiovisual interactivity in interdisciplinary contexts. Since 2003, he has been active in the Danish interactive arts scene, contributing with interactive artworks for public and private exhibitions spaces. His projects show great interest in mixed reality illusions and often utilise video projection mapping and alternative screens. More recently, he started creating generative graphics for live concerts, crafting and performing his own visual instruments.

He holds a MA in interaction design and has co-founded Science Friction, a Copenhagen based art & technology group and gallery. He contributes to the QA Ring as an experienced practitioner with concrete hands-on know-how.

I’m interested in the illusionary fabric that lay between the virtual and physical phenomena. And the QA Ring seems to be exploring exactly that area.

Began in September, 2010, two main producers, Chiu, Yichun and Zhan, Jiahua , based on the modern creation of art which reflects the trait of pop culture, they hope to cross over the invisible gap made by art. Their creation is aimed to present what is sensed in daily life with music and multimedia as its based elements, building a multiple cross-domains platform. In 2012, Zhan’s interactive installation creation, Soma Mapping II, won the first prize of visual arts in the Seventh France An interactive Lake International Digital Art Festival Enghien-les-Bains (2012) and was held exhibitions in Germany and Korea. In September 2013, Divertimento Media was officially established. It’s first project of multimedia music theatre, OUO!! Mirror, Humanity, Dream, uses music performance integrated with play, multimedia installations, floating projections to create a live video game theatre. The show was presented in the Taipei Fringe Festival and won the Award of Outstanding.

We look very much forward to the having more possibilities in this production with Chen’s participation; for he has done many interdisciplinary performances with music and technology.
